Buffalo Bills 2022 mock draft, 3rd round pick

For a long, while there, the Buffalo Bills had an awful offensive line, that’s not to say they don’t need help currently either, but they aren’t as bad as they used to be. The one quality offensive lineman that stands out that the Bills have is Dion Dawkins.

Outside of Dawkins, the Bills have the likes of Mitch Morse, Roger Saffold, who they just signed, Spencer Brown, who they drafted last season, and Ryan Bates, who will likely be playing at left guard.

Morse hasn’t been as good in Buffalo as he has been in Kansas City, while former rookie Spencer Brown struggled in his first season with the team. Saffold will be joining the Bills this season after playing with Tennesee last year.

Bates will likely be starting at left guard for the Bills, but he certainly isn’t the best guard in the world either. This Bills offensive line isn’t as bad as it has been in previous seasons, but it still wouldn’t hurt to add some more offensive line help.

Hayes is certainly not one of the most athletic offensive linemen in this draft. He had a poor vertical and below-average 40-yard dash. While Hayes isn’t most the athletic dude in the world, he has some skill.

Hayes has some incredible hands on him. Once he gets his hands on you, it’s very hard to pull away from him. Hayes lands with some power with his punches as well. Add on to all of that the fact that he has some very long arms with 34.88-inch arms.

Hayes certainly won’t be some elite athlete at the guard position, but he will be a good pass protecting guard, which Josh Allen would certainly love.

Other Players Considered: Cameron Jurgens, Matthew Butler, Coby Bryant
