Buffalo Bills 2022 mock draft: Remaining Day 3 picks

Pick Analysis. Pierre Strong Jr. player. 16. Scouting Report. Running Back. South Dakota State. 6

Looking at the Buffalo Bills running back group, it’s not the worst one in the world. Buffalo has the likes of Zack Moss, Duke Johnson, Tawain Jones, and the likely starter, Devin Singletary.

Despite this, the Bills still haven’t had a quality running game while other things play a factor in the running game outside of the running back (the offensive line, QB, etc) it wouldn’t hurt to add another dynamic runner.

Strong’s biggest positive surrounding him isn’t his strength, rather it’s his speed. Strong has some legitimate breakaway speed and in the open field can really turn the jets on. Not only does he have some great top-end speed, but he accelerates quickly.

Ironically enough, Strongs biggest weakness is his strength or lack thereof. Strong has zero play strength and gets brought down way too easy on simple tackles, and when he encounters contact head-on, he goes down softly.

Strong won’t be a lead bell-cow back anytime soon, but he will offer the Bills some serious speed

Other Players Considered: D’Vonte Price, Hassan Haskins, Jeffery Gunter

Jack Jones. player. 854. Scouting Report. Cornerback. Arizona State. Pick Analysis. 7

While I do have the Buffalo Bills drafting one cornerback in this draft, it wouldn’t hurt at all to draft another one. Booth and White will likely be the starting cornerbacks for the Bills, barring something crazy, but they still could use some help.

One thing that I like about Jones is his quick feet and smooth hips. He shows good patience in his backpedal and doesn’t get overly aggressive when he doesn’t need to be. Despite being a small back, he has the ability to attack the ball at the catch point.

While he does have the ability to fight through the catch point, the fact is he is still small. Bigger receivers can outmuscle Jones in terms of coverage and when he tries to tackle them.

Jones won’t be a starting cornerback right away, but he should offer the Bills some decent depth that also won’t crap the bed if he’s put in a bigger role.

Other Players Considered: Cordale Flott, Malcolm Rodriquez, Kevin Austin Jr

Jack Sanborn. 809. Scouting Report. Linebacker. 8. player. Pick Analysis. Wisconsin

While the Buffalo Bills have some solid linebackers in Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano, they could still use some help in terms of their backups.

Sanborn is one of two Wisconsin linebackers who could hear their name called during the NFL draft, unfortunately for Sanborn, he will likely be the 2nd. While he will be the 2nd Wisconsin linebacker, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have some talent.

Wisconsin has produced some talented linebackers as of late, and Sanborn could be added to this mix. Sanborn is great at getting downhill and has excellent eyes. The one problem with Sanborn is his athleticism or lack thereof. He’s not the strongest player in the world, nor is he quick at all.

Sanborn will be a backup linebacker for the Buffalo Bills, due to his lack of athleticism, but he will be a stable pair of hands when he does see the field
