Best NFL wide receiver trios in the league today

20. Washington Commanders- Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel, Dyami Brown

This ranking is based solely on potential. More specifically if Carson Wentz can unlock the potential of Brown and the perpetually injured Samuel. Terry McLaurin is a star. He has excelled despite mostly trash at the quarterback position.

The combined speed of Brown and McLaurin with the Swiss-army knife potential of Samuel could elevate the Commanders to the playoffs and Wentz back to relevance as a starting quarterback.

19. New York Giants- Kenny Golladay, Sterling Shepard, Kadarius Toney

The potential of the Giants’ wide receivers is off the charts. Sterling Shepard, when healthy is a target monster, and Kenny Golladay is a top-end deep threat. Last year’s first-round pick, Kadarius Toney has the quick twitch, game-breaking ability that only a small handful of receivers in the league possess.

What’s the problem? Health.

None of these guys were able to stay on the field for any extended time in 2021. However if these three could play at least 15 games each in 2022 this will be a top 10 unit, even with Daniel Jones throwing the ball.

18. Cleveland Browns- Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Jakeem Grant

It remains to be seen who will be the starting quarterback for at least the early portion of 2022, but eventually, Deshaun Watson will take over and this trio may take off as a result. Cooper brings years of solid production and professionalism that Watson will feed like a hungry baby.

DPJ possesses intriguing downfield skills, and Grant is extremely elusive in the open field. The sooner the Browns get Watson behind center the quicker this trio will gel and excel.

17. Kansas City Chiefs- JuJu Smith Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Mecole Hardman

So many questions abound with this Chiefs receiving corps. Mecole Hardman was drafted in the second round in 2019 to replace Tyreek Hill.

Hill subsequently wasn’t suspended and Hardman has failed to do more than make the occasional splash play. This clearly is his make-or-break season. Smith Schuster comes over from Pittsburgh after a couple of disappointing seasons but is still only 25.

Former Packer Marquez Valdes-Scantling brings size and speed, but suspect hands. The key here will be Pat Mahomes.

If Mahomes can establish any chemistry and trust with this trio they have top 10 potential.
