Power ranking the top NFL wide receiver trios for all 32 teams
Best NFL wide receiver trios in the league today
12. Dallas Cowboys- CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup, James Washington
The Cowboys underachieved last season, as Dak Prescott “only” threw for 37 touchdowns. Entering his third year, and finally the undisputed WR1, CeeDee Lamb should take the next step and break out into a top 10 receiver.
Lamb possesses all the traits of a generational talent. Michael Gallup, if healthy provides deep speed, as does former Steeler James Washington. Dallas offensive line took a couple of hits in free agency, but if they can protect Dak, the Cowboy receiver group will be one of the best in the league.
11. Los Angeles Chargers- Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Jalen Guyton
Keenan Allen doesn’t age. After three straight 100-plus catch seasons, Allen shows no signs of slowing down. It doesn’t hurt to be playing with Justin Herbert. The Chargers also re-signed Mike Williams after he finally put together a complete season of 76-1146-9.
Add deep threat Jalen Guyton and the Chargers possess an intriguing trio. Considering Allen is on the wrong side of 30, this could be the last season the Charger receivers are this highly ranked.
10. Seattle Seahawks- DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, Freddie Swain
The loss of Russel Wilson will certainly hurt this corp, but how much? Drew Lock, late of the Broncos is the likely starter and isn’t a high-end talent. However, DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett are high-end talents.
Of course, much depends on the offense coach Pete Carroll will call, but the vet experience of Lockett and the freak athleticism of Metcalf can mask deficiencies at quarterback.
Former Florida Gator Freddie Swain has produced when called upon, giving the Seahawks a respectable trio that may make Drew Lock look like an NFL quarterback.
9. Denver Broncos- Jerry Judy, Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick.
Let’s be honest, much of this top 10 ranking is based on the quarterback. Russell Wilson will elevate his receivers. How much will he have to elevate this threesome?
Sutton was on track to be a big, dominant receiver before his injury in 2020. Two seasons later and he should be better than ever. Jerry Jeudy suffered from injuries but is an elite talent that only needs a quarterback to blow up.
Add Tim Patrick and you have as intriguing a corps as any in the NFL.
