4. DT Star Lotulelei (Released by Buffalo Bills)

Recently, the Cleveland Browns bolstered their defensive line via free agency. They re-upped with inside defender Sheldon Day but added newcomers at end in Stephen Weatherly (Broncos) and Isaac Rochell (Colts). And will the team eventually bring back Jadeveon Clowney, who remains a free agent?

Still, the club could still use some more help up the middle. The Cleveland defense finished fifth in the NFL in 2021 in fewest total yards and fewest passing yards allowed. But Joe Woods’ unit finished a mediocre 12th in the league against the run.

The Buffalo Bills did a little housecleaning in the trenches this offseason and parted ways with Star Lotulelei. He would be a solid veteran addition and fortify the middle.

3. WR Albert Wilson (Miami Dolphins)

This offseason, the organization decided to release veteran wide receiver Jarvis Landry. There’s been talk over the last month or so that the team could bring him back or he could latch on with the New Orleans Saints (via NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport).

In the meantime, the club added Jakeem Grant (Dolphins) via free agency and orchestrated a trade to obtain four-time Pro Bowler Amari Cooper.

Veteran Albert Wilson joined the Dolphins in 2018, opted out in 2020, and returned to the field this past season. He managed to catch 25 passes in 14 contests but didn’t reach the end zone. Perhaps a change of venue could result in a bounce-back season.
