Deebo Samuel trade to accept no. 3: New York Giants

49ers receive:

  • 7th pick
  • 112th pick
  • WR Kadarius Toney

Giants receive:

  • WR Deebo Samuel
  • 61st pick

Let’s get crazy with this one.

The 49ers would require something too good to pass up on for Deebo Samuel, and the 7th overall pick in this draft could fit that description.

That seems like a very rich price for a team like the Giants to pay, but new head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen have seen firsthand what kind of impact a trade for a stud receiver can have.

The Giants would still have the 5th overall pick in this draft, their second-rounder, and then another second-rounder here from the 49ers.

Not to mention, in this scenario, the 49ers would not only be getting a premier pick back from the Giants but they would also be getting back an intriguing player in 2021 first-round pick Kadarius Toney.

Toney’s versatility is somewhat reminiscent of Deebo Samuel’s and the 49ers could certainly utilize him in similar ways, plus they could significantly upgrade their roster with a player like Sauce Gardner or Derek Stingley Jr. there at pick 7 overall.

This kind of trade would be outstanding for both parties.
