2022 NFL Draft first-round strategy for AFC teams

Baltimore Ravens (Pick #14)

Baltimore needs a ton of help right now on the defensive side. I think they desperately need offensive line help as well (cough cough, Tyler Linderbaum), but with Lamar able to move out of the pocket so well, perhaps defense should be objective number one.

I like the Derek Stingley fit, though he’s obviously going to be a risk with his health.

Trent McDuffie is also a very nice option for them, and I feel he should be there for them at #14.

Jordan Davis for nose tackle.

Devontae Wyatt to pair with Calais Campbell and Justin Madubuike.

George Karlaftis or Jermaine Johnson to fill the void left by Matthew Judon.

I love all those picks.

But the one that really stands out to me if he’s going to drop is Kyle Hamilton at safety. DeShon Elliott is now in Detroit, and this Ravens secondary really had a tough time last season.

He’s going to have some prominent takers in New York (Giants), Washington, and Houston, but if he’s there at #14, I don’t see how you can pass him up if you’re the Ravens.
