There are rumors the Dallas Cowboys could be interested in trading up in the 2022 NFL Draft but what players would be worth the jump?

Heading into the 2022 NFL Draft, the rumors are heating up that the Dallas Cowboys are “desperately” trying to trade up in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Of course, anyone who follows the Cowboys knows to take anything said with a grain of salt. Team owner Jerry Jones often talks a big game but in the end, cooler heads often prevail — and that means his son, Stephen Jones, and Will McClay (the GM without a GM title) usually talk him off the ledge.

Having said that, this doesn’t mean Dallas shouldn’t look to make a move — should one present itself. Here, we look at three players they should consider making a leap for in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Dallas Cowboys trade-up target No. 3: Jordan Davis, DT

This is one that might not happen since the Cowboys are one of the teams that don’t value the 1-tech as much as they should. Then again, new defensive coordinator Dan Quinn convinced them over the past year-plus that safeties are important so maybe he can make them understand the best defenses usually have a strong nose tackle.

If they do come to this realization, then maybe they should try and get the best in the draft — Jordan Davis. The Georgia star is an extremely athletic man who stands in at 6-foot-6 and 341-pounds and ran an insane 4.78-second 40-yard dash.

While he’s not considered a three-down player, due to conditioning rather than talent, Davis will make enough of an impact on the field that he could be worth a day two pick to secure for the Dallas D-line.
