Baltimore Ravens pick No. 25: Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa: Jason Kelce

No team seems to be able to draft like the Baltimore Ravens. They ended up with Kyle Hamilton and Tyler Linderbaum in this opening round and Linderbaum should be a long-term starter for them in the middle of their line.

He’s a smart player who can lead the team, much in the same way Jason Kelce has for the Philadelphia Eagles for many years now.

New York Jets pick No. 26: Jermaine Johnson, EDGE, Florida State: Danielle Hunter

It was surprising to see Jermaine Johnson slide this far but in the end, the New York Jets moved back into Round 1 to secure his services. It was a great move for them as they ended the night on a high note.

Johnson gives them someone who can do damage on the edge, much in the same way Danielle Hunter does for the Minnesota Vikings. Both are long and athletic and can make life hard on opposing tackles.

Jacksonville Jaguars pick No. 27: Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah: Micah Parsons

Devin Lloyd was arguably the best linebacker in this class even though he wasn’t the first taken. The Jacksonville Jaguars were fine with that as they were able to trade up with the Bucs to take him at 27.

There will be a lot of expectations placed on him especially since he’s been compared to Micah Parsons of Dallas. While he isn’t someone who can rush the passer as well as Parsons, he does have better coverage ability.

In the end, he should be a huge difference-maker and could be in the mix for the 2022 NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

Green Bay Packers pick No. 28: Devonte Wyatt, DT, Georgia: Christian Wilkins

Oddly enough, the Green Bay Packers went defense on both picks in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Their second selection was Devonte Wyatt who is similar to Christian Wilkins of the Miami Dolphins. Wyatt might not light up the stat sheet, but like Wilkins, he will simply get the job done.
