Green Bay Packers target no. 3: Skyy Moore, WR, Western Michigan

Alec Pierce and George Pickens are two similar types of receivers. Both are big guys, who can win at the catch point and have some serious speed in their game, Pierce more than Pickens in terms of speed, but still fairly similar receivers.

While Pickens and Pierce are similar receivers, Moore is a bit of a change, but that certainly isn’t a bad thing.

Moore is only 5’10”, and is without a doubt on the short side, but oh my goodness is he a rocked up 5’10” as at the Combine, he weighed in at 195 pounds. Moore also ran a 4.41 40 and had a 10’5″ broad jump.

Watching Moore on the field is so fun to watch. When Moore has the ball in his hands, he is almost untouchable as he is so quick and light on his feet, while his mind works on another level.

While there may be concerns surrounding his ability to keep his body clean at the line of scrimmage, that was rarely a problem during his college career and wasn’t a problem at all against better teams like Michigan.

Moore also has some high-level route-running skills underneath as he is very hard to cover with his shiftiness.

The biggest concern around Moore likely is his catch radius. Moore is 5’10” and had his arm length measured at 31.25 inches. Like some great athletes, Moore isn’t the best route runner in the world, which could cause some problems at the NFL level.

Some concerns should be alleviated as Moore had some massive hand measurements at the combine, and despite being on the smaller side of things, Moore is a big boy and shouldn’t be affected by outstretched arms.

Moore can win on the outside as well as the inside, but he could easily take over the Randall Cobb role when Cobb eventually leaves Green Bay.
