The Cleveland Browns didn’t have a pick in Round 1 but they still land two starters in the second day of this day two 2022 NFL Mock Draft

Due to their trade for Deshaun Watson, the Cleveland Browns sat out of the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft — and will do so in each of the next two drafts.

While it was weird for a team that usually drafts so high to be out of the mix, they do have three picks coming on Friday night. And with how talented this draft is, they could still find some talented prospects.

Here in this day two mock, that’s exactly what happens as they come away with two starters on their defensive line with their first two picks.

Cleveland Browns pick No. 44: Logan Hall, EDGE, Houston

Cleveland’s first pick in the 2022 NFL Draft comes up at No. 44 overall and they might not have to move from that spot to land a starting-caliber player.

Thanks to a plethora of defensive end talent still on the board — including Boye Mafe, Cameron Thomas, and Arnold Ebiketie — the Cleveland Browns could come on the clock at 44 with Logan Hall still looking for his NFL home.

The Browns add him in this mock, solidifying the EDGE for years to come. Hall, who is listed at 6-foot-6 and 283-pounds, played both defensive end and tackle for the Cougars and would bring that same versatility to the NFL.

For Cleveland, it could lead to him being on the edge in their base defensive with the ability to slide inside on third downs to allow Chase Winovich more time on the field as a designated pass rusher.

Hall is also one of those players who is still refining his game and in a couple of years, he could be a Pro Bowl player who is considered one of the steals of this draft.
