Houston Texans 2022 NFL Draft grade: B-

3. Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU
15. Kenyon Green, OL, Texas A&M
37. Jalen Pitre, S, Baylor
44. John Metchie III, WR, Alabama
75. Christian Harris, LB, Alabama
107. Dameon Pierce, RB, Florida
150. Thomas Booker, DL, Stanford
170. Teagan Quiatoriano, TE, Oregon State
205. Austin Deculus, OL, LSU

The Houston Texans are run by Nick Caserio and Patriots people have never really cared about public perception or consensus opinions when it comes to the picks they make.

When everyone else was saying Sauce Gardner, the Texans were saying Derek Stingley Jr.

When everyone is saying Zion Johnson, the Texans are saying Kenyon Green.

The Texans are in a total rebuilding mode which is barely out of phase one if you can even truly say it’s out of phase one. We started to see more aggressiveness this offseason from Nick Caserio with the capital he acquired in the blockbuster deal for Deshaun Watson he’s now got to work with in the coming years.

The Texans traded up for players like John Metchie and Christian Harris, two underrated Alabama players in this class who could come in and make substantial early impacts.

Metchie, in particular, will be expected to contribute heavily in the rotation at receiver which now features Brandin Cooks on a new contract and 2021 third-round pick Nico Collins expected to make a jump.

On day three, the Texans finally landed a running back in Dameon Pierce who will be highly popular in fantasy football dynasty leagues as well as the super-athletic and versatile defensive lineman Thomas Booker.
