You could say the Carolina Panthers have arguably the “best of the worst” when it comes to a quarterback’s supporting cast in the NFL.

On paper, this group looks pretty good and borderline enviable.

In reality, the Panthers’ skill players simply cannot stay healthy. At least, starting with Christian McCaffrey, the team’s most important player.

The next time McCaffrey has 100 carries in a season will be the first time since 2019 that’s happened.

DJ Moore is an absolute stud and is borderline quarterback-proof, but he was limited to just four touchdowns last season.

Robby Anderson is a fine vertical threat but it sounds like the Panthers are desperate to trade him away to the highest bidder.

Terrace Marshall managed just 30 targets last season, an embarrassingly low number for a second-round receiver in today’s NFL.

I like the combination of Tommy Tremble and Ian Thomas at tight end. The Panthers started to get him more involved later last season and I think he responded well.

Chuba Hubbard led the Panthers in rushing last season in McCaffrey’s stead, proving the Panthers should have a solid 1-2 punch if both guys are healthy.

Who is getting all these guys the ball? Sam Darnold? Matt Corral? Baker Mayfield?

The Panthers have decent talent but they need to figure out the right guy under center.
