The 2022 NFL Draft is in the rearview. Now it’s time to look forward. The prospects are on their teams, locked in, and ready to prove themselves.

The 2022 NFL Draft is in the rearview. Now it’s time to look forward. The prospects are on their teams, locked in, and ready to prove themselves.

How they fit in matters, and teams are hoping these players develop into contributors. Of course, the best-case scenario will see a prospect or two turn into stars. Teams are looking to dominate their division with the help of the rookies they selected in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Their success is predicated on situations, scheme fit, and opportunity.

Let’s look at the 2021 NFL Draft, where we saw situations and opportunities at their finest. The Cincinnati Bengals draft LSU’s J’Marr Chase, who wasn’t just the best rookie in the AFC North, but the NFL. Then there were the Cowboys, who traded down and came away with Micah Parsons.

The former Penn State backer ended up being the best pass rusher in the NFC East. There was also Jaylen Waddle who led all rookies and the AFC East in catches.  The best player in the division doesn’t have to come from the first round.

Last season, the Denver Broncos had the best running back in the division, Javonte Williams, a player the Broncos second-round pick 2021 NFL Draft. Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth also went on Day 2 and developed into the best young tight ends, finishing second in touchdowns (7) amongst all tight ends.

That was the past. Let’s look at the 2022 NFL Draft picks who will dominate their division.
