NFL Players under most pressure headed into 2022 season

2. Jalen Hurts, QB, Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts is under a ton of pressure going into 2022.  Hurts started four games as a rookie and was just OK.

In year two, he started 15 games, going 8-7, and was a bit better.

He was responsible for 26 total touchdowns and threw nine interceptions.

However, he was greatly limited as a passer, completing just 61.3% of his passes for 3,144 yards.

The Eagles shocked a lot of people by going 9-8 and clinching a playoff berth in their first season with Head Coach Nick Sirianni.

Now, with the Eagles’ recent addition of AJ Brown, Hurts is going to have to show he can be competent enough as a passer to have a long-term future in Philly.

If not, the Eagles may be looking to find a veteran quarterback to upgrade their situation.

Between AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, Miles Sanders, Kenneth Gainwell, and that excellent offensive line, Hurts has an amazing situation to thrive in.

If not, perhaps the Eagles would be willing to turn it over to Gardner Minshew, who I am high on, or even Carson Strong, who signed as an undrafted free agent.

The Eagles just might have two other solutions on the roster not named Jalen Hurts.  For that reason, Hurts needs to have a big season.
