The 2022 NFL Draft is behind us and teams are looking forward to the regular season. Here we make 20 bold predictions for the coming year.

With most of the free agency moves in the rearview, as well as the 2022 NFL Draft, teams are beginning to prepare for the new season.

One of the most exciting things about the NFL is the constant storylines to follow — and the multitude of trades this offseason has led to more than the norm in that department.

Here, we look ahead to the season with these 20 bold predictions.

20. Drew Lock has 4,000-yards passing

One of the biggest trades of the offseason happened between the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos. Seattle landed several draft picks as they sent Russell Wilson to the Mile High city, but they also landed quarterback Drew Lock and tight end Noah Fant.

There were immediate calls for the Seahawks to go out and trade for Baker Mayfield, but they didn’t do that. Instead, they added Geno Smith as a high-priced reserve and seem ready to give Lock a shot at winning the job.

As long as he can take advantage of that, he should be able to find success. Seattle still has a lot of talent with D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett — as well as Fant. Throw in Ken Walker at running back and Bo Melton who they added in the draft and this offense can be better than expected.

That’s why the first prediction is that Lock gets hot and throws for 4,000-yards on the season.
