20 NFL bold predictions after the 2022 NFL Draft

19. Trevon Diggs has another double-digit-pick season
In 2021, Trevon Diggs was a monster. The second-year cornerback of the Dallas Cowboys recorded a franchise-record 11 interceptions. If that wasn’t enough, he broke up another 21 passes and even scored two touchdowns on the season.
Sure, he gave up some big catches as well but any team would take that in exchange for someone who turns the ball over that many times. And while it was unexpected for him to get double-digit picks, it’s not as if it should have been that unbelievable.
As a rookie, he had three picks and 14 pass defenses in 12 games — a foot injury cost him four contests — but it could have been even better. He was beaten often that season but was also just inches away from making a huge play several times. He even had two or three picks go right off his hands.
With that being said, Diggs has proven in two seasons to be the definition of a ball hawk. He will gamble and go after the football and the Cowboys will take that since he wins so often.
This prediction is that he continues to win in 2022 and again has double-digit picks — setting himself up for a huge contract in the coming years.
