20 NFL bold predictions after the 2022 NFL Draft
By Randy Gurzi
1. Bills beat the Bucs in Super Bowl LVII
As good as Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals are expected to be in these bold predictions, there’s still another AFC team that has a major chip on their shoulder. While the Bengals know they missed a golden chance due to not being able to sustain their blocks long enough, the Buffalo Bills had to suffer a defeat in large part due to a coin toss.
With a three-point lead in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, the Bills defense inexcusably gave up enough yards for Harrison Butker to hit a game-tying field goal. In overtime, the Kanas City Chiefs won the toss and Buffalo never got the ball back.
Sure, their defense should have held but the offense still might have been able to score a touchdown of their own had they won the toss.
To their credit, the Bills have said all the right things as they blame themselves for the defeat and did make sure to improve their defense with the addition of Kaiir Elam and Terrel Bernard in the draft.
On top of that, they added James Cook in the second round to give them a dangerous running back as well. Throw in the chip on their shoulder from the loss (it’s there even if they won’t admit it) and this team could be dangerous in 2022.
This final prediction is that they knock off the Bengals in the AFC Championship Game, earning them a trip to Super Bowl LVII.
There, they will face the legendary Tom Brady and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where Josh Allen and the Bills will finally get the great city of Buffalo their first Lombardi Trophy.
