18. Jameis Winston throws for 4,500 yards with 30 TDs, win Comeback Player of the Year
Famous Jameis is back.
After unsuccessfully trying to land Deshaun Watson, the New Orleans Saints brought Jameis Winston back on a two-year deal. And in all honesty, this could turn out to be a great move for them.
While Sean Payton is gone as the head coach, much of the staff remains the same in New Orleans meaning Winston will surely already know the playbook. On top of that, he was having a lot of success in 2021 with the Saints.
In seven games, Winston was 5-2 as the starter and had 1,170 yards with 14 touchdowns and only three picks. He tore his ACL which ended his strong start but he was on the right path with this team. He was also doing this without Michael Thomas.
Not only is Thomas set to return to full health this season but the Saints also moved up in the draft for another Ohio State product, Chris Olave. Suddenly, Winston is set to have a much better-receiving corps to go along with his knowledge of the Saints’ offense.
That’s why he’s being predicted to not only throw for 4,500 yards but also 30 touchdowns. For good measure, the former No. 1 overall pick will even win the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award.
