16. Justin Fields leads Bears to the postseason

Second-year quarterback Justin Fields has a ton of talent — even if it was hard to see it in 2021.

As a rookie, he was working under Mike Nagy who seemed to try and call all the plays Fields wasn’t great at. While it’s true coaches usually stick to the scheme they know, Nagy felt as though he went out of his way to make it harder on Fields.

In the end, the rookie was 2-8 as a starter and completed just 58.9 percent of his passes for 1,870 yards. He also had a rough 7-to-10 touchdown-to-interception ratio. He did, however, show off some of his ability to run as he had 420 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

Looking ahead to 2022, things should get better for Fields. While they hired a defensive coach in Matt Eberflus, they did bring in Luke Getsy — who has been pretty solid in his career when it comes to working with quarterbacks — as their offensive coordinator.

With a new staff that seems willing to build around Fields, he should be able to take his next step as a playmaker. That’s why this prediction is that he takes the Bears from the cellar to the playoffs in 2022.

It won’t be easy since they lost Allen Robinson and did very little to replace him, but Fields is dynamic enough to make things happen on offense.
