15. Pittsburgh Steelers have a winning record under Mitch Trubisky

Since 2004, the Pittsburgh Steelers haven’t had to worry about the quarterback position since they had Ben Roethlisberger. However, he retired after the 2021 season and things will be vastly different in the Steel City now.

Pittsburgh will have a competition going on after signing former Chicago Bears starter Mitchell Trubisky in the offseason. Trubisky spent 2021 as the reserve behind Josh Allen with the Buffalo Bills but gets another shot at a starting job here.

He will have to beat out Kenny Pickett who was the only quarterback taken in Round 1 this season. Pickett, who was a star with the Pitt Panthers, could very well be the starter for the long haul but as a rookie, he could have a hard time beating out Trubisky.

This prediction is not that Trubisky will only beat him out but that he will also lead the Steelers to a winning record. The former North Carolina product gets his share of criticism but overall, he has had a lot of success. Outside of his 4-8 rookie season, he has had a winning record every year when starting and is 29-21.

A lot of that success can be attributed to the team around him but the fact is, he joins a team that’s pretty solid. He should have as much success — if not more — than he had in Chicago.
