With the 2022 NFL Draft and the majority of free agency in the rearview, we predict what the Dallas Cowboys 53-man roster will look like this season

Once again, the Dallas Cowboys returned to their frugal ways this offseason. A team that once went overboard with free agency acquisitions has suddenly become one of the more conservative franchises, as they lost several key contributors without making any splashy moves to replace them.

In the end, they will be trying to replace the production from players such as Amari Cooper, Cedrick Wilson, and Randy Gregory from within while sprinkling in some rookies.

With all that being said, we look ahead to the 2022 season and predict what the Dallas Cowboys 53-man roster will look like at Week 1.

Early predictions for the Dallas Cowboys’ 53-man roster

Quarterback (3):

Dak Prescott
Cooper Rush
Will Grier

Dak Prescott is entering his seventh season in the NFL and he’s been the Week 1 starter for the Cowboys in each of those seven seasons. He takes a lot of criticism but that comes with the job as the quarterback for America’s Team.

He handles it all well and continues to do everything asked of him. Overall, he’s 53-32 as the starter and has an impressive 143-to-50 touchdown-to-interception ratio. He needs to get better in the clutch but still, he’s one of the best in the league right now.

Behind him is Cooper Rush who had a fantastic game for Dallas last season when he led them to a win over Minnesota. Rush has been with the Cowboys for several seasons, although he did have a cup of coffee with the New York Giants.

Overall, he’s become a trusted backup behind Prescott and they could potentially go with two quarterbacks on the roster. However, with Dak having some issues staying healthy over the past two seasons, they continue to go three deep as Will Grier claims the third spot.
