Running Back (4):

Ezekiel Elliott
Tony Pollard
Rico Dowdle
Ryan Nall

The Dallas Cowboys continue to trot out Ezekiel Elliott as their starting running back, even though they shouldn’t. Elliott was once a dominant runner but the truth is, he’s looked slower in recent seasons and continues to get beaten down.

He’s also not incredibly explosive and seems to rarely make people miss him. As for Tony Pollard, he’s everything that Elliott hasn’t been. Pollard has fresh legs since Dallas has criminally under-utilized him thus far in his career and is the running back who has the home run ability.

As if that wasn’t enough, he’s also one of the best in the league when it comes to making people miss tackles, as PFF puts him in the top-four since 2019.

Still, Pollard will likely be the No. 2 guy since Elliott makes too much money to bench. That shouldn’t be the case, but it always has been with Dallas – especially since the man who signs the checks likes to be involved in such decisions.

Rico Dowdle makes it as the third back, although his spot isn’t 100 percent safe. He’s done well when given a chance but Ja’Quan Hardy has as well.

Lastly, they have Ryan Nall at fullback. He came over from Chicago this offseason and seems to be in line for the job.
