Trevon Diggs
Kelvin Joseph
Anthony Brown
Jourdan Lewis
Nahshon Wright

Trevon Diggs led the NFL in interceptions last season when he picked off 11 passes in his second season. A former second-round pick from Alabama, Diggs is criticized for giving up his share of big plays but it will be worth it as long as he continues to get the ball back for the offense.

While Anthony Brown has been the other starter, there’s an expectation that Kelvin Joseph will take his job eventually. He did play well when he was on the field as a rookie and should be able to take his next step.

There are concerns due to his off-field actions but as long as he stays on the right path, he should develop into a solid starter across from Diggs.

This would be a good thing since Brown is actually better in the slot. The question is what it means for Jourdan Lewis. He drops down to fourth on the depth chart now and Dallas has to be comfortable paying him more than the average fourth corner.

The big omission from this list is C.J. Goodwin, the veteran cornerback who has been a leader on special teams. As important as Goodwin has been for Dallas, he gets beaten out by 2022 third-round pick Nahshon Wright who has shown some special teams prowess — and can do more in the base defense as well.
