NFL top 32 running backs for 2022

32. Damien Harris, New England Patriots

Key Stats in 2021

  • 1,061 yards from scrimmage
  • 15 total touchdowns
  • 18 receptions

To say that Damien Harris had a breakout season for the New England Patriots in 2022 would be a massive understatement.

Harris had two touchdowns combined in his first two NFL seasons coming out of Alabama, and he racked up a whopping 15 for the Patriots in 2021.

There’s very little question about the fact that the Patriots like to cycle through running backs. They will undoubtedly continue to do so, but Harris has effectively earned the title of “featured back” in an offense that is notorious for not having one.

Even with the Patriots’ depth at the running back position, Harris deserves an expanded role and entering a contract year, that couldn’t come at a better time.
