25. AJ Dillon, Green Bay Packers
2021 stats:
- 1,116 yards from scrimmage
- 7 total touchdowns
- 34 receptions
The Green Bay Packers have a quarterback with back-to-back MVP awards the last two seasons, and yet they also have two players on this list of the top 32 backs in the NFL.
The running backs for Matt LaFleur’s offense are a huge reason for Aaron Rodgers’ success.
Although the selection of AJ Dillon and the decision to give a big-money contract to Aaron Jones were not met with universal approval, the Packers realize the value those two players bring to the table.
For AJ Dillon, it’s more than just being a big, bruising back.
Splitting touches with Jones almost down the middle, these two players combined for 444 touches last year and Dillon made the most of his extended work, racking up 1,116 yards from scrimmage and seven total touchdowns.
Dillon averaged 13 touches per game for the Packers last season and should be in line for similar work in 2022.
