1. Washington Commanders vs. Dallas Cowboys (Week 18 – January 7/8)

Last week of the season. At home. Washington Commanders vs. Dallas Cowboys. Potential chills incoming.

We’ve seen this before. The final week of the season has set up some big moments for Washington in the past. Just two seasons ago they snuck into the playoffs by beating the Philadelphia Eagles in the last game.

Even closer to home here though, let’s take you back to the 2012 season. Washington and Dallas faced off in the last game of the season. Winner gets the NFC East crown and a playoff spot.

Robert Griffin III and Alfred Morris were in their rookie year, and things were good. They (mainly Morris that game) led Washington to a win and wow did the future look bright. Obviously, things didn’t work out all that well with that roster. We could’ve had wonderful things and instead, disaster struck.

Washington now has a completely new world order though. And I’m not talking about Scott Hall and Kevin Nash.

Now, to be honest – this game might not mean anything. Maybe one team will already be out of the playoffs. Maybe the other will have their spot already locked up. Or maybe both teams will be out of the running completely.

But it’s still a late-season game against Washington’s biggest rivals. And at first glance of a schedule, you have to pretend every game will matter. Because obviously, you can’t know for certain how things will go.

This has the potential to be a monster game. The Washington Commanders and Dallas Cowboys rarely disappoint when they meet up. A Week 18 clash could be an all-time great.
