One NFL player you wish never played for your favorite team

Indianapolis Colts: Steve Emtman, DE
This one was a bit tough because it wasn’t Steve Emtman’s fault things didn’t work out. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound defensive end from Washington had the makings of an NFL superstar, which led to the Indianapolis Colts taking him at No. 1 overall.
Indy also ended up with the second pick in that draft and took Texas A&M linebacker Quentin Coryatt with that selection. Coryatt ended up playing six seasons with the Colts before heading to Dallas for one more campaign but a shoulder injury suffered in his final season with the Colts proved to be too much for him to overcome.
Still, Coryatt was a highly-productive linebacker, and had they paired him with the player they thought Steve Emtman was going to be, their defense could have been elite.
Emtman even flashed his talent when he recorded a 90-yard interception return for a touchdown in a win over Miami during his rookie season. But that proved to be one of the few highlights in his career.
The former No. 1 pick spent three seasons in Indy and played in just 18 games. He recorded 75 tackles and five sacks but the injuries continued to limit him.
He had more than enough talent to continue to get chances and was with Miami for two seasons and Washington for one but continued to be hampered by injuries.
