Philadelphia Eagles: Freddie Mitchell, WR

Freddie Mitchell will forever be famous for two things from his Philadelphia Eagles career. One was the huge 4th and 26 conversion he had in the postseason against the Green Bay Packers.

The other was when he said: “I’d like to thank my hands for being so great” after he had a great performance in the 2004 Divisional Playoff Game against the Minnesota Vikings.

However, as Bryn Swartz of Bleacher Report said back in 2008, Mitchell did nothing after that game and then was unable to make it with any other team.

"“Yup, fourth and 26 was awesome. And you did good in the 2004 playoffs also. Until you trash-talked Rodney Harrison and then did absolutely nothing in the Super Bowl. Then we released you and you failed in tryouts with the Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, and the Dallas Cowboys again.”"

Mitchell was a former first-round pick who spent much of his career trying to find his spot with the Eagles. He went back and forth from the No. 3 receiver who played in the slot to the fourth spot, which led to him sitting on the bench often.

In four seasons, he had 90 receptions for 1,263 yards and five touchdowns. Not a great amount of production from a player taken in Round 1 — and even worse when it was from someone who trash-talked as much as he did.
