NFL trade target #8: N’Keal Harry, WR, New England Patriots

In a similar spot as Reagor but drafted the year before, the Patriots never got much out of N’Keal Harry. Despite having the size and college tape, his lack of elite athletic traits has limited him to a mediocre backup receiver.

He can only win with his physicality, which is a hard thing to do in the NFL when cornerbacks are far bigger and more athletic than in school.

The rumors of the Patriots trading Harry heated up last year after they added quite a few receivers in free agency during the offseason. No deal materialized, and Harry floundered on this roster for yet another season.

Now entering the last year of his rookie deal, it still seems likely that Harry is moved sometime during camp.

The Patriots added to this group even more via trade and the draft this season. Harry is at best the fourth receiver on this roster. A trade wouldn’t be for much, as he has almost no value at this point, but the Patriots may just take what they can get for him.

It seems unlikely that Harry remains with the Patriots through this season based on the moves that have been made.
