NFL trade target #7: Chuck Clark, S, Baltimore Ravens

One of the more dependable and consistent defenders in the league, Chuck Clark’s stock with the Ravens took a hit after they drafted Kyle Hamilton in the draft. While Clark is a fine defender to have start at safety, he lacks the elite play and potential of Hamilton.

The Ravens could still land a decent haul for the veteran though due to his play and price tag.

This was made apparent when talks between the Eagles and Ravens heated up for Clark. A deal involving both him and Reagor was on the table but ultimately never materialized.

With the potential for injury still around in training camp, odds are Baltimore could find a suitor. He has a lot of value as a player in the league.

As well, the Ravens could potentially just keep Clark around and have three capable safeties. Clark isn’t being paid an enormous sum of money and he is a great communicator. That said, a fair deal should be enough to see him moved.

The drafting of Hamilton is shifting this defense in a new direction that seemingly won’t involve Clark.
