NFL trade target #6: Baker Mayfield, QB, Cleveland Browns

I toyed with if I should put Baker Mayfield on this list. On one hand, he is an experienced starter that teams should covet if they needed someone to come in and start right away. On the other hand, the Browns have destroyed their relationship with Mayfield and now hold no advantage in trying to trade him.

Will a trade end up materializing? It doesn’t seem impossible still. That said, it will probably happen later into camp and more than likely will have another quarterbacks injury as the reason for the deal.

Given his age and talent though, there should be some sort of a market for the quarterback.

To be clear once again, the Browns have no leverage in this situation due to how they handled this situation in the offseason.

They likely won’t receive a big deal for Mayfield if he is dealt. That said, Cleveland should just take what they can get and move on from this ordeal. It would be best for both sides at this point.
