NFL trade target #4: Laviska Shenault, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

At one point in time, it seemed like the Jaguars had found the next big offensive threat at receiver with Laviska Shenault.

Drafted in the second round, he joined the trend of receivers with running back frames and skillsets in the mold of Deebo Samuel. After two seasons into his career though, the results don’t look great.

While he posted some average stats last season, he failed to take advantage of a wide-open receiver room. Now, he is sharing a room with recently added Christian Kirk and Zay Jones.

Add in Marvin Jones becoming a dependable weapon for Trevor Lawrence last season and suddenly Shenault doesn’t have a clear role on this offense.

Despite his early struggles, Shenault was still a highly touted prospect and one that could have some interest elsewhere in the league.

He would make sense for a team that had their eye on him in the draft or wanted a player that can have that versatile role on an offense would do well by adding him.

Don’t be surprised to see him get moved at some point in camp if the Jaguars feel confident without him on their roster.
