How much will speed kill in the AFC East?

Bill Belichick’s grip on the AFC East is not as strong as it once was. Before the franchise parted ways with Tom Brady, the Patriots were the dynasty of the east.

Their 10 consecutive divisional titles were a result of having a Hall of Famer under center. Without their All-Pro quarterback, New England has struggled to assert their dominance.

As the power dynamics change in the division, teams like the Dolphins and Bills work are working hard to grab the top spot.

More offensive production is the goal for head coach Mike McDaniel. What better way to do so than in an aerial attack?

The addition of Tyreek Hill has the Miami fanbase on the edge of their seats. Hill’s reputation of being a speedy downfield threat has earned the respect of his peers and coaches. Hill has averaged 13.8 yards per catch during his six years in the league.

Josh Allen will have important roles to play this season. While Tua and Hill work on developing chemistry, the Bills plan on building on their improvements.

Buffalo’s 11-6 finish last year convinced analysts and fans that Allen is the real deal. Allen finished with 4,407 yards passing and 36 touchdowns, finishing top 10 in multiple passing categories.

Playing behind Allen will help Buffalo secure their pre-season ranking as the best team in the NFL. If the Dolphins and Patriots plan on making things competitive, they must find a way to slow down their rival quarterback.
