Dallas Cowboys Trade Target No. 3: Dean Lowry, DT

During the 2022 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers elected to bring in two Georgia Bulldogs in Round 1 as they added linebacker Quay Walker and defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt.

Both should start this season but one of them makes a player who fits well in Dallas expendable. Wyatt taking over on the defensive line should push Dean Lowry to the bench and Cody Williams of FanSided believes this could make him a roster cut as Green Bay tries to save some money.

"“When you factor that into the consideration that the Packers could save $5.95 million against the salary cap by designating him as a post-June 1 cut, it would make a lot of sense if this was a bit of a changing of the guard along the defensive line in Titletown.”"

Lowry would be a great fit in the middle of the Dallas line as a replacement for Brent Urban who they lost in free agency. Listed at 6-6 and 296-pounds, Lowry had 42 tackles and five sacks last season for Green Bay and could bring some interior pressure to a line that could use more of that.

The Cowboys could wait to see if he is cut, or they might want to call and see if Green Bay would swap him for a late-round pick. Lowry would not only be a solid contributor but could help Dallas finally move on from Trysten Hill who has been quite a disappointment.
