The 2022 NFL offseason has been nothing short of outstanding from an entertainment perspective. We’ve seen some insane trades. Which were best?

You just don’t get many NFL offseasons like the one that has taken place in 2022. Even after the NFL Draft, star players like Tyrann Mathieu and Jadeveon Clowney are signing free agent contracts.

This kind of action into the month of May is bordering on unprecedented.

Not only that, but the action we’ve witnessed starting in March is really unheard of, at least as far as I have been covering the NFL.

We’ve all seen some crazy stuff in terms of player movement in the NFL in recent years, but not en masse like we saw in 2022.

Which trades made in 2022 have been the best? Although some more moves could be on the horizon (Jimmy Garoppolo, Baker Mayfield, Deebo Samuel), let’s take a look at the top 10 trades made so far in 2022.

NFL trade no. 10: Marquise Brown to the Arizona Cardinals

If only to appease Kyler Murray, the trade sending wide receiver Marquise Brown to the Arizona Cardinals was one of the best of the 2022 offseason.

I considered a number of other options on this list, including the Miami Dolphins flipping DeVante Parker for a third-round pick to a division rival. How did they get that much in return for him?

There’s a premium being paid for receivers these days.

The Arizona Cardinals found that out as well, giving up a first-round pick for Marquise Brown and a third-round pick.

As trivial as it seems, getting that third-round pick back in the trade for Brown was actually huge for the Cardinals, who managed to land both Cameron Thomas and Myjai Sanders to help them off the edge in the back half of round three.

Acquiring Brown is going to be big for Arizona. DeAndre Hopkins is suspended for six games to start the season. Having a vertical threat like Brown will keep the Cardinals’ offense humming along.

Not only that, but Brown is obviously buddies with Kyler Murray, who was disgruntled earlier in the offseason. Now, it seems like things are back on the upswing.

The team will have a dangerous receiver group when Hopkins returns, and they still have a pretty good one for the time being while he’s out suspended.

Brown reunites with Murray in an offense that can better highlight his skills and now a chance to make big money along with Murray.
