New York Jets: Tevin Coleman, RB

Tevin Coleman followed Mike LeFleur to New York as the two spent time together with the 49ers before LaFleur took on the offensive coordinator job with the Jets.

Coleman’s familiarity with the offense was expected to help him with his new team but he wound up with just 356 yards as he played second-fiddle to Michael Carter.

Now, the Jets added Breece Hall to the mix which knocks Coleman down to third on the depth chart. Usually, that’s a spot for a guy who will contribute on special teams and given Coleman’s age and injury history, that’s unlikely to happen.

Philadelphia Eagles: Jalen Reagor, WR

At this point, it’s safe to say Jalen Reagor has been a disappointment for the Philadelphia Eagles. The franchise needed a wide receiver in the worst way and in the 2020 NFL Draft, they brought in Reagor with their first-round pick.

The move was criticized since Reagor played for TCU and put up poor numbers in a conference that doesn’t play defense — although many wanted to blame the quarterback play even though that’s not always an issue for other elite talents at the position.

There were also questions about his hands and that has remained an issue for him in the pros. It was also a criticized choice since he was taken ahead of Justin Jefferson, who was a big-time playmaker for LSU and has since gone off for the Minnesota Vikings.

Philly knew quickly they made a mistake as they used a Round 1 pick in 2021 on DeVonta Smith and then traded a first-round pick during this draft to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for A.J. Brown.

As if that wasn’t bad enough for the former first-round pick, they also added Zach Paschal recently and still have Quez Watkins and Greg Ward. In the end, this receiver room has become crowded and this could be the year they decide to move on from Reagor.
