Houston Texans: Ross Blacklock, DT

The Houston Texans used the 40th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft of Ross Blacklock out of TCU. After two seasons, he’s still looking to become a starter for them. In 29 career games, he has 36 tackles and two sacks. He’s also been one of the lowest-graded players at his position according to PFF.

In 2021, Houston picked up Maliek Collins in free agency and he out-performed Blacklock — and will be the starter at the 3-tech once again in 2022. There’s also Thomas Booker, who was added in the draft and could end up being a solid rotational piece.

With that being said, the new coaching staff in Houston might decide to simply move on from Blacklock.

Indianapolis Colts: Parris Campbell, WR

Originally taken in Round 2 back in 2019 out of Ohio State, Parris Campbell has yet to take off with the Indianapolis Colts. An intriguing prospect with speed to spare, he’s yet to cross the 200-yard mark as a receiver and in three seasons, he has just 34 receptions for 360 yards with two touchdowns.

Perhaps the addition of Matt Ryan could help him find a spark but there’s just as high of a chance that he gets lost behind Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce — leading to his release.
