Minnesota Vikings underrated move no. 2: LB Jordan Hicks

After four years with the Philadelphia Eagles, all anyone could talk about regarding Jordan Hicks was his availability.

Or, lack thereof.

Hicks was not consistently available as a member of the Eagles and many questioned whether he was worth a big-money contract with the Arizona Cardinals when he signed there in free agency.

Since joining Arizona, he hasn’t missed a game.

Averaging 128 tackles per season over the last three years, as well as 10 tackles for loss, Hicks has proven himself to be a very dependable three-down linebacker in his time with the Arizona Cardinals.

Playing in Ed Donatell’s defense and in tandem with Eric Kendricks, Hicks will be relied upon as a veteran presence to help the Vikings in a variety of ways and doing what he does best — attacking the line of scrimmage.

He’s got 29 tackles for loss over the last three seasons and 13 quarterback hits along with 20 total pressures.

Hicks has proven his worth as a run defender and in coverage, and even at the age of 30 this season, he was a sneaky good pickup by the Vikings to upgrade their defense, which needed a makeover.
