NFL CB duo no. 9: Indianapolis Colts – Stephon Gilmore, Kenny Moore II

Any time you get the opportunity, I think you should take the time to talk about one of the most underrated and underappreciated defensive players in the NFL right now.

That player is Indianapolis Colts cornerback Kenny Moore II.

Moore is just a tough, physical player in the slot and he brings energy on every play.

With 26 pass breakups, eight interceptions, and 10 tackles for loss over the last two seasons, Moore’s play and production speaks for itself.

This guy is an absolute beast who racked up over 100 tackles last season for the Colts’ defense.

He will be joined this season by a (hopefully) healthy Stephon Gilmore, one of the more underrated free agent signings of the 2022 offseason as a whole.

Sure, Gilmore may no longer be the DPoY type of player he was with the New England Patriots, but he’s still a very good veteran who can create turnovers and more opportunities for your offense.

Since 2018, Gilmore has been one of the most consistent playmakers in coverage despite injury woes. The Colts may have just a couple of really good years out of him, maybe even just one. Even if they can get just one, I think adding Gilmore this offseason substantially upgrades their defense from a year ago.
