Ranking the top 10 cornerback duos in the NFL for the 2022 season
NFL CB duo no. 8: Baltimore Ravens – Marlon Humphrey, Marcus Peters
It’s hard to believe, but Marcus Peters is still not 30 years old and won’t be until next January.
It feels like Peters has been in the league for a decade, and he’s certainly picked off a decade’s worth of passes throughout his NFL career.
Unfortunately, Peters missed the entire 2021 season due to injury. His return in 2022 is going to be a desperately needed one for a Ravens secondary that gave up more yards than any other team in 2021.
He will rejoin one of the top overall cornerbacks in the NFL today, Marlon Humphrey.
Humphrey has just two interceptions over the last two seasons, but that’s largely because teams hate throwing the ball into his coverage.
In the 2020 season, he forced a whopping eight fumbles and found other ways to get the ball back to Lamar Jackson and the offense.
The Ravens made a number of major additions to the secondary in the 2022 offseason including signing free agent safety Marcus Williams and using their first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft on Notre Dame’s Kyle Hamilton.
They’re going to kill that pass defense need with fire, and they’ll hopefully have a healthy duo of stud cornerbacks that can create turnovers and play the ball as well as any duo in the league.
