NFL CB duo no. 3: Los Angeles Rams – Jalen Ramsey, Troy Hill

I questioned doing this, but I’m doing it.

I think if you asked all 32 NFL executives, without getting cute about it, I think many of them (maybe most of them) would take Jalen Ramsey and whoever else is playing cornerback versus just about every other top cornerback duo in the league.

Jalen Ramsey is CB1 in the NFL right now and he’s really just now entering his prime.

He had four interceptions last year as teams were coaxed into throwing the ball into his coverage for the first time in what feels like forever.

He had 16 passes broken up, the most since his second year in the NFL back in 2017.

Statistical production aside, there’s no questioning at this point that Jalen Ramsey is one of the most dynamic and elite defenders in all of football.

The Rams let Darious Williams head off to the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency, replacing him with a familiar face.

Troy Hill returns to the Rams after a year in Cleveland with the Browns.

Hill was very productive when he was playing in the Rams’ defense and he’ll obviously hope to recapture that magic in 2022.

When Hill was with the Rams in 2020, he picked off three passes including two returned for touchdowns.
