Three teams that should trade for Bradley Chubb

2. Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears are going through a full teardown and rebuild, and are probably not going to be very competitive this season.

However, they could get a headstart on their defensive rebuild with the acquisition of Bradley Chubb.  It’s unclear how Ryan Poles will fare as a drafting GM.  It’ll take a few years before we see the product of his first draft class.

The talent of Bradley Chubb is evident, however, injuries have kept him from reaching his full potential.

I also think being in Chicago could be a low-pressure situation for Chubb.  It’s clear the Bears are a few years away from being good, so in theory, Chubb wouldn’t have to be an elite pass rusher immediately.

A hypothetical adjustment being traded from Denver to Chicago and learning a new defensive system could take time.

Teams over the last few years are becoming more and more willing to deal their draft picks for immediate impact players since the uncertainty of rookie draft picks is just that, uncertain.

The Bears could opt to use one or more of their uncertain draft picks to acquire a player who has made a Pro Bowl and has had a season with a double-digit sack total.
