Biggest NFL contract bargain at QB: Tom Brady

Average salary: $15 million (one-year deal)

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. NFC South. Tom Brady. QB. player. 48

Tom Brady has made over $300 million as an NFL quarterback.

That’s not all that surprising, given he has been in the league for close to 300 years.

All kidding aside, it’s rather impressive that the Buccaneers were able to convince Brady to take a one-year deal for $15 million, but it shouldn’t be surprising considering that’s pretty much how Brady has always operated.

He’s always wanted his team to be the best it could possibly be, and he’s not hurting financially as a result.

In fact, you could argue it’s the preferable strategy, given how wildly successful Brady and his teams have been through the years.

Still, getting Brady at $15 million for this season is a sweet deal for the Buccaneers. Imagine being a sneakerhead and being able to get a grail for retail price.

That’s essentially what the Bucs have done here.

Jimmy Garoppolo’s average salary is nearly double that of Brady’s.
