NFL 2022: Biggest contract bargain at every position
Biggest NFL contract bargain on the offensive line: Morgan Moses, RT, Baltimore Ravens
Average annual salary: $5 million (tied for 75th among all offensive linemen)
There’s no doubt that among NFL offensive linemen, it’s difficult to find a non-rookie “bargain”.
Trent Williams is the highest-paid player among all NFL offensive linemen at over $23 million per season.
He’s paid like that for good reason.
It’s easy to justify paying the elite tackles in the NFL top-tier cash, but players like Morgan Moses are also extremely valuable in today’s game.
Sure, Moses isn’t an annual fixture at the Pro Bowl, but that doesn’t really matter.
He’s been playing at a high level in the zone scheme for pretty much his entire career, and he’s been durable.
Entering his age-31 season, Moses hasn’t missed a game since his rookie year back in 2014 when he played in eight games.
He’s never been selected to the Pro Bowl or to an All-Pro team, but you can probably count on one hand the number of players on the offensive line that have been as dependable as Moses since he’s been in the NFL.
Availability is one of the best abilities, as they say.
At just $5 million per season, Morgan Moses was a great pickup for the Baltimore Ravens this offseason and is one of the best bargains in the NFL regardless of posiiton.
