Biggest NFL contract bargain at cornerback: Kenny Moore II, Indianapolis Colts

Average annual salary: $8.325 million (27th among CBs)

Pick Analysis. Indianapolis Colts. AFC South. player. 46. Scouting Report. Kenny Moore. CB

Despite the fact that most NFL teams operate in the nickel alignment defensively the majority of the time, cornerbacks that primarily play in the nickel are horrendously undervalued in today’s NFL.

With eight interceptions over the last two seasons, it’s clear that Colts cornerback Kenny Moore is one of the most underpaid defensive playmakers in the league.

The Colts have a couple of really solid bargains on the defensive side of the ball.

Moore’s productivity out of the nickel has led to a potential contract dispute in the 2022 offseason, so he may not be on this list for much longer.

Young players like Moore who can create turnovers at a high rate and play at a consistently great level are not often underpaid, but there seems to be some kind of stigma with nickel corners.

Not only does Moore have eight interceptions over the last two seasons, but he also has 10 tackles for loss and 182 total tackles.

He’s a playmaker in every way for the Colts’ defense, and they need to find a way in the near future to properly compensate him for his efforts.

He made his first Pro Bowl in 2021, but his productivity is nothing new to Colts fans. Moore has been one of the team’s best defenders for the better part of the last five years.
