DK Metcalf is reportedly a no-show at minicamp. Should the Seattle Seahawks decide to make a trade, these three teams could be interested

There were rumors in the offseason that the Seattle Seahawks could be willing to trade star wide receiver DK Metcalf. Those rumors could pick back up now that he’s reportedly been an unexcused absence at mandatory minicamps.

One of the main reasons for contention is the desire for a new contract from Metcalf. Of course, Seattle might not be interested in a long-term deal since they seem to be rebuilding some. If that remains the case, these three teams could step in and try to add Metcalf via trade.

DK Metcalf trade option No. 3: Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans entered 2021 with one of the more intimidating wide receiving corps on paper. The ascending A.J. Brown was on one side with former Atlanta Falcons superstar Julio Jones joining him on the opposite side.

Both are now gone as Jones was released following a disappointing season and Brown was traded to Philadelphia for a Round 1 pick during the draft. Tennessee did add Treylon Burks in Round 1 — who could develop into a star — and veteran Robert Woods.

Still, they can use more depth at the position and there’s no doubt Metcalf would quickly become the No. 1 wideout if added to the Titans roster.

Tennessee is coming off a season where they won the No. 1 seed in the AFC but their postseason ended after just one game. They have the talent to win now but could be held back by their receiving corps, which is why targeting Metcalf makes so much sense for them.
