NFL roster no. 17: New Orleans Saints

New Orleans Saints. 17. team. 15. . .

Is Jameis Winston going to be a true catalyst for this New Orleans Saints team coming off of a major knee injury?

We’re fixing to find out.

The Saints have some of the best offensive skill talent in the NFL today. Who wouldn’t want a core like this?

  • Alvin Kamara
  • Michael Thomas
  • Jarvis Landry
  • Chris Olave

Who could forget Taysom Hill the tight end?

The Saints have a ton of high draft picks on the offensive line and just replaced longtime starting left tackle Terron Armstead with the nasty Trevor Penning, one of the team’s first-round picks in 2022.

I don’t think the Saints are going to have issues offensively unless we get the 30-interception version of Jameis Winston.

Defensively, the Saints are also pretty strong.

Even with Cameron Jordan and Marcus Davenport on the defensive front, the part of this roster really worth writing home about defensively is in the secondary.

The Saints have one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL in Marshon Lattimore, whose supporting cast has gotten a lot better in recent years.

The Saints drafted Paulson Adebo in round three last year. They took Alontae Taylor in the second round this year.

They traded for Bradley Roby last year and brought in guys like veterans Tyrann Mathieu and Marcus Maye to revamp the safety position after losing Marcus Williams in free agency.

There’s a lot to like about this Saints roster.
