NFL roster no. 13: Las Vegas Raiders

28. . . . Las Vegas Raiders. 13. team

When looking across the league at which rosters are the best, it’s more than just having good starting plyaers at every position.

It’s also about having the best players at the most important positions.

The Las Vegas Raiders check a lot of those boxes, quite frankly.

They have one of the best quarterbacks in the game in Derek Carr.

They have the best receiver in the game in Davante Adams.

They have a very good left tackle in Kolton Miller.

They have arguably the best duo of edge players in Chandler Jones and Maxx Crosby.

This offseason, they also added to the cornerback position by trading for Rock Ya-Sin.

Not every area of this Raiders’ roster is spectacular, but I don’t think there’s a better trio of pass-catchers in the NFL than Adams, Hunter Renfrow, and Darren Waller.

The offensive line got some upgrades in the 2022 offseason and defensively, the Raiders are going to be able to close out games late with their elite duo of edge players.

I kept the Raiders outside the top 10 because I don’t think they have the best all-around roster despite having some elite pieces at key positions.

Those pieces can take this roster far, but a lot of areas of this team still need tweaking.

With that said, the Raiders are one of the most vastly improved overall rosters in 2022 with the acquisitions they have made.
