NFL roster no. 4: Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams are the reigning Super Bowl champions, and as is typically the case, you have a Super Bowl champ dealing with a lot of changes on the roster.

The Rams have certainly spent a ton of money this offseason (and in the last year), as usual.

They’ve given new deals to their most valuable players:

  • Matthew Stafford, QB
  • Aaron Donald, DL
  • Cooper Kupp, WR

In addition to spending money on their own guys, they’ve made some important additions on outside free agents like wide receiver Allen Robinson and linebacker Bobby Wagner.

The offensive line is going to have to endure some changes with Andrew Whitworth retiring and Austin Corbett leaving for the Panthers.

Defensively, the Rams’ biggest loss is the departure of free agent pass rusher Von Miller, who wasn’t effectively replaced in free agency or the NFL Draft.

The defensive backfield also took a loss with Darious Williams leaving for the Jaguars.

Still, this Rams roster is among the NFL’s elite. They have such outstanding skill-position talent, made even better with the presence of Sean McVay calling the shots and pulling the strings as well as Matthew Stafford as the field general.

Defensively, the Rams have arguably two of the top five overall defensive players in the game today with Donald and Jalen Ramsey.

This roster is probably good enough to repeat as a Super Bowl champion but they will need to get some help off the edge.
